Eliminate Stretch Marks

By | 0 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

Stretch marks are a common ailment that affect millions of people around the world. Fortunately, there are ways to eliminate stretch marks, and when I say eliminate, I basically mean concealing them to the point of them not being visible, or treating them.

Before we get into how to treat stretch marks, let's first look at a few ways on how to prevent them from ever happening.

One great way to stop stretch marks from happening is by drinking a lot of water. Start drinking tons of water on a regular basis and you might not have to worry about stretch marks in the future. This is because water helps to keep the skin healthy and elastic. When a person does not drink enough water, their skin might fall victim to tearing. A stretch mark is basically torn skin, so to prevent this, make sure to drink 3 liters of water daily.

You should also keep in mind that surgery to get rid of stretch marks, such as laser and microdermabrasion surgery, will cost you as much as $1000 and will not totally eliminate stretch marks. You will need to go in for multiple sessions and at best you can hope for a 50% reduction in their appearance, this is why preventing stretch marks should be of primary importance to you as there is no true stretch mark cure. It's also important to note that the older your stretch marks, the harder it will be to eliminate them.

Chemical Peels can also greatly reduce stretch marks but you will have to visit your dermatologist to get this treatment. Chemical peels are applied to the face and burn off the skin's top layer. Underneath this top layer is a layer of new skin which will have less striking stretch marks on it.

Like microdermabrasion, this will not be cheap and you will have to go in for multiple sessions.

Another way to get rid of stretch marks is by using oils including Emu Oil. Since Emu Oil has regenerative properties it can help heal scars and wounds on the skin. The downside of Emu Oil is while it can help fresh scars, it might not work as well on older stretch marks.

Before you decide to undergo surgery to eliminate stretch marks, We suggest you try some of the less harmful treatments first. Many of these treatments can be easily found on the internet or even in your local store. Hopefully, one of these methods will lead you to skin that is clearer and stretch mark free, keep in mind though, there is plenty more information out there on the Internet that can be of help to you.
