Embrace Pet Insurance Review

By Edited Jan 24, 2016 0 0

The Embrace Pet Insurance company was established in 2006 and has headquarters near Cleveland, Ohio. Even though the company has only been serving pet owners for a few years they have already established a solid reputation in the industry. One thing that makes the company unique is the ability for pet parents to make a customizable policy. Most other pet insurance companies only offer certain packages which the owner has to choose from. The owner might be forced to make a selection even though the coverage isn't exactly what they were looking for.

Customizable policies can be useful if you have multiple pets. For example, you would probably want to have a different policy for a younger dog than an older cat. With a customizable policy you can specify your policy's annual maximum payout, deductible, and co-pay amounts. You can also decide whether or not to have coverage for prescription drugs and dental illness. One of the main benefits of pet insurance is that it can be tailor-made to suit your specific needs. However, not all companies offer this option.

Most pet parents only want to have coverage for the big, unexpected expenses and with a customizable policy that's fairly easy to do. If you want to keep your premiums low but still have the best coverage possible simply go with a policy that has a high annual deductible ($200-500) and a high maximum payout ($10,000). You'll probably have to pay for minor things like exams, vaccines, and check-ups but at least you'll be covered for emergencies and major medical problems should they come up during the year. Or, if you'd rather have a lower deductible and co-pay you can do that too.

There are some age restrictions for illness coverage. If you'd like to sign-up for a new policy, mixed breed dogs need to be less than 8 years old and purebred dogs need to be less than 6 years old. Mixed breed cats are accepted up to 10 years old and purebred cats less than 8 years. However, once you sign up, your pet will continue to be covered even if his age is over the limit.

Another nice thing about Embrace Pet Insurance is that they offer a 30-day money back guarantee. That means if you change your mind for any reason within 30 days of signing up for a policy they'll refund your money (as long as you haven't made a claim). If you're interested in getting a quote you can fill out their online form which requires an email address, zip code, pet's name, age, breed, and neuter status.

Selecting the best pet insurance policy can be a difficult decision but you should take your time studying the different policies available before making your final choice. Pet insurance can be expensive, but chances are the value of your pet is priceless.
