Actually, you don't need to be a great artist such as himself to recognize that colors certainly play an integral role in your feelings, reactions, and behavior. Aside from this, the color blue also has a very modern edge to it, so it is often used to highlight new technology, gadgets, and state-of-the-art devices.

Green is a fresh and cool color that symbolizes the growth and abundance of nature. It relaxes the eyes, and makes people think of vitality and health. Nowadays, a lot of companies and foundations use different shades of green in their posters and advertising banners to indicate that they support eco-friendly causes, or a healthy and organic lifestyle.

Yellow is the color of sunshine and happiness. It eludes warmth, fun and positive energy. This color is known to make people pay closer attention and concentration, so if you have a very important message that you wish to communicate to other people, you may want to make a poster with a yellow background or yellow text color.

Purple is the color of royalty. Its regal and aristocratic association makes this color very effective in lending a touch of elegance and sophistication to any product, activity, or occasion. Luxury items and exclusive high-society events are best presented in purple-themed posters.

These are just some of the basic colors often used in poster advertising, and the significant effects and implications they have on the behavior of people who view them. Although color meanings and representations are highly subjective across various cultures, certain general themes still apply. Whatever theories might be in place, there is no denying the fact that when presented in a strategic design for color poster printing, different shades and hues can influence consumer response and can certainly lend great impact to your advertising posters.
