Essential Oils for Eczema

Eczema is a skin condition which has several characteristics such as skin swelling, itching, flaking, dry skin, and possible scarring. There are quite a few essential oils that can help treat the symptoms of eczema.

Balsam Essential Oil has painkilling, anti-bruising, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antiseptic, cell regeneration, and scar healing properties.

Bergamot Essential Oil has anti-depressant, antiseptic, antispasmodic, bactericidal, and cell regeneration properties.

Cade Essential Oil has painkilling, anti-microbial, anti-pruritic, antiseptic, and disinfectant properties.

Carrot Seed Essential Oil has anti-oxidants, antiseptic, anti-viral, disinfects, detoxifies, and stimulates the growth of new cells.

Cedarwood Essential Oil regulates skin oil production, is an anti-septic, a tonic, an astringent, and is a sedative.

Chamomile Essential Oil has anti-inflammatory and calming properties.

Clary Sage Essential Oil is an anti-inflammatory and reduces stress and anxiety.

I didn't know there were so many either. This is very good to know because I just discovered some mild pompholyx eczema on my hands a few weeks ago. So far ice has done the trick for it but it hasn't really been too bad yet. Will have to refer back to this article if it ever gets worse. Thanks and thumbs up!
