Exercises To Lose Weight

By | 0 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

To lose weight you need to exercise. Diet alone is not enough to help you drop the pounds. Burning off those unwanted calories by doing exercises to lose weight is the difficult but necessary ingredient to any weight loss plan.

Below are 5 great exercises you can use to lose weight. It's easy to get into a routine with a weight loss plan where you end up tired and bored of doing the same old thing every day. Mixing up your workouts will help keep you interested and focused on losing weight.

Running.

It's often neglected because it's difficult. If you want to burn calories you need to be running. The cross trainer is a useful cardio machine but it should not be the only machine you use. You need to run on the treadmill and run outside.

Circuit Training.

Circuit training is when you combine multiple weight lifting exercises into a continuous workout. For example you might do shoulder dumbbell press, then quickly do curls, then rush to do sit ups, then do dumbbell bench press, etc… You get the idea. You can combine your favorite weight lifting exercises into a sequence of 3-5 continuous sets. You will have to use less weight than you are used to because you will get tired as you go. Lifting weights as a form of cardio will help you build muscle while you burn fat, which is always a great combination. Don't worry though, this will not bulk you up.

Stair climber.

If you have real stairs you can climb, go for it. If not, find the stair master or stair climber in your gym. It will get your heart pumping and burn just as many calories as running. It can be boring, so make sure you mix other exercises into your routine. The stair climber is a great exercise to lose weight.

Swimming.

You never see overweight swimmers because people who swim are in the pool for hours. Swimming burns fat at a slower pace because you are continuously exercising for long periods of time without putting any heavy stress on your body. Swimming is great for anyone that has back pain or joint pain when they run.

Play a sport.

One of the hardest parts about doing exercises to lose weight is that it can be hard to stay in one place for 45 minutes while you workout. When you play a sport you get to move around and participate in game. Sports like basketball, racquetball and tennis are great ways to be active and lose weight.

Each of these exercises will help you burn fat and meet your weight loss goals. Keep things interesting by mixing up your workouts and by participating in activities you enjoy.
