Exmouth is home to Ningaloo reef one of the best reefs in Australia. Exmouth is about 1200 kilometers from Perth, Western Australia. Exmouth is the closest town you can get to the reefs because of the rough terrain and the nice beaches and reefs in CapeRangeNational Park. Exmouth holds accommodation for all ages and sizes from the Novotel to ExmouthCapeHolidayPark.

Exmouth is an amazing place on the land but when you go into the ocean it's in a league of its own. There are 3 main beaches though were you can walk of the beach for a snorkel that are amazing in my opinion. There is TurquoiseBay, Oyster Stacks and Lakeside. TurquoiseBay has two sides though; there is the drift section and the normal section. I loved turquoise bay the most because of the diversity of the marine life. We saw turtles, different types of rays, reef sharks (don't worry they've got enough food), octopuses and a variety of bizarre fish. Lakeside also had drift on the day we visited it but that could and sounds like a one off thing. I didn't visit go to Oyster Stacks in my time up in Exmouth but I've heard good and negative things about it.

Many people come to Ningaloo Reef just to see the Whale Sharks. Seeing the Whale Sharks is something you have to do even if it does cost a fortune. I would recommend eco Adventures being one of the few companies in Exmouth that specialize in Whale Shark tours. The reasons the whale shark tours are so great are because you get to be so close to these creatures and sea some amazing things, for example, when we went out we saw Humpback Whales jump out of the water 20 meters away from the whale shark while a turtle was swimming under the shark!

Now pretty much everything you do in Exmouth revolves around water there are some amazing things that you can see that isn't near the beach and is outside the water. There are many gorges including, Charles Knife Gorge, ShotholeCanyon, Mandu Mandu Gorge and Thomas Carter Lookout. These are good to do if you want to escape from the water.

Exmouth is a great holiday destination if you're on a low or high budget with many things that are free or cost just a few dollars. Exmouth, Western Australia is an amzing holiday destination.
