Eyebrow Enhancement can mean different things to different people. Below are some of the more common methods of eyebrow enhancements – cosmetic, aesthetic and surgical that you may wish to consider.

Eyebrow Enhancement with Skin Jewels or Body Jewelry:

This is a purely cosmetic eyebrow enhancement, where eyebrows are groomed and small adhesive jewels are applied to the skin around the eyebrows, helping accent the natural shape of the eyebrow. These are a perfect and temporary eyebrow enhancement that many beauty studios offer. Alternatively, you can buy your own adhesive jewels and apply them yourself. (If you find they don't stick well, try securing them with falsh eyelash glue). Take inspiration for designs and shapes from Indian and Asian models who use these often.

Another idea is to get your eyebrow pierced – be sure to find a good practitioner and be aware that once you tire of your pierced eyebrow, you will be left with a permanent scar.

Eyebrow Tattoo:

For those who have sparse brow hair growth, eyebrow tattoos can be a great solution to enhance the eyebrows. Either permanent or semi permanent tattoos may be applied to thicken the brow density.

If you are in the USA, be sure to choose a practitioner who is registered with the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals. If you are considering an eyebrow tattoo, you can expect to pay from $200 - $2,000, depending on the aesthetician who is carrying out the process. Be sure to ask to see examples of their previous work, as the last thing you want is thick, heavy and obviously fake eyebrows.

Eyebrow Regrowth Products:

There are now many products on the market that can help people to regrow their eyebrows if they have depleted. These were originally created to help people to grow thicker, longer eyelashes, but users have reported great results when used on thinning eyebrows.

The product is applied to the area with a thin applicator brush just before bedtime and left overnight, before being washed off in the morning.

Costs for these kind of products range from a few dollars (which deliver mixed results) to the higher level products, which cost around $100 - $150. Results can be seen in as little as three weeks.

Eyebrow Replacement or Eyebrow Implants:

This is a process that grafts individual hair follicles from the patient's head hair onto the eyebrow area. As many as 300 hair follicles may need to be used to replace an entire eyebrow. Eyebrow implants are an ideal solution for patients suffering from conditions such as alopecia, where the hair simply no longer grows in that area.

The same process may also be used for eyelash implants, which can help achieve remarkable results for those with few or no eyelashes. This is a simple surgery that is performed in just a few hours under local anaesthetic.

Costs for full eyebrow transplants are between $3,000 - $5,000 dollars, and the results are permanent and in the vast majority of cases, this is a very successful treatment to replace lost eyebrow hair. Some maintenance and upkeep is required afterwards, to keep the hair growth in check.
