Eyebrow Hair Transplants
The eyebrow hairs. Nobody ever thinks consciously about them. Everybody just takes them for granted. Rarely do you see a face without eyebrows. But what if you were to lose your eyebrows in an accident? There are plenty of things that can happen to you to make you lose them. And should that happen to you (and I certainly hope it won't), then you'd be surprised how different your face is going to look. It'll be like a completely different person is staring back at you when you look in the mirror.
The eyebrows are so important when it comes to framing our faces. Indeed, they largely determine how we look. Some people are genetically predetermined to lose them with old age. But most people won't lose their eyebrow hairs like they will lose their head hairs. Most eyebrow loss is due to accidents. Think about an accident where you fall and you land on your brow. The chafing could easily damage the follicles. Or you could have a burning accident, where the hairs burn down all the way to the follicle.
It happens very rarely. For this reason, when looking for info concerning hair transplants, you won't find a lot about eyebrow transplants. Unless you're specifically looking for that topic, ofcourse.
Eyebrow Hair Transplants
Hair transplants surgery has been around for years now. Most of the time it's used to cover up a balding area on top of the head. But for a few years now, it can also be used to restore eyebrows to their former glory. When having an eyebrow hair transplant, the doctor is going to have to really do his best, because this surgery is much more complicated then a regular hair transplant.
First of all, the directions of the hairs in your eyebrows are all over the place. And not only that, the angles of the hairs are completely different from your head hair. Your head hair grows upwards, your eyebrow hairs grow sidewards. They're almost parallel to your skin. Eyebrow hairs grow in groups of single strands only, as opposed to your head hair. Head hair naturally occursin groups of 1, 2, 3 or 4 strands.
These things all need to be taken into account by the performing doctor. It makes the surgery very labor intensive and a doctor needs to have a real 'eye' in order to create a natural looking eyebrow. Just be lucky that eyebrows only cover a small area, which makes this operation a relatively small one. If the area to be treated were much bigger, the costs would quickly rise.
