Eyelet Curtains A Better Choice For Home Ambience

By | Jul 16, 2010 | 0 Comments | Rating: 0

From a heavy look, many people in today's modern homes have designs that lean toward a lighter and more casual ambience. As this fashion accelerates, this makes eyelet curtains more in demand and increasingly more popular. Eyelet curtains differ in style from old fashioned heavy fabric related often to formal home spaces like living rooms, home office or libraries. Like for example, long curtains may present a lighter look such as a country theme in the kitchen.

Eyelet curtains have a simple system feature where they are just hung on windows or across doors made of glass. Instead of having complicated hardware systems, they only dangle by simply having the eyelets on the top of the curtain pierced by the curtain rod or by using snap rings which are inserted over the curtain rod through the smaller eyelets.

A set of eyelet curtains are made of light materials compared to heavy looking formal drapes. The weight of curtains with lace eyelets are perhaps the lightest and sheerness of common textiles applied in the eyelet curtain. Viole eyelet drape is one of the popular choices. This weave fabric is light and offered in a variety of available materials like rayon, silk and cotton. In this connection, one can modify or change more often the look of a room of one's choice by selecting a fabric of desire.

If your desire is having an ambience of a dark room, you have at least two choices since generally the eyelet curtain is made of comparatively pure fabrics. A lined eyelet curtain could be your first option which features has an added layer of fabric stitched behind the face of the curtain to block incoming light into the room. And if that does not suit you or if you don't like such a design, you can install blinds at the back of the sheer eyelet drape. You can also close the blinds not only to block light but also from being seen from outside.

The eyelet curtain works in any room, from your living room or even a bedroom. Kitchen curtains are often eyelet curtains as they are easy to hang and are incredibly versatile and if they need washing or freshening up are easy to remove and replace, making the washing process all the more easy which will no doubt push you to wash those dirty curtains all the more often.

A valance of fabric matching with the core body of the drapery can be ordered or made if you wish to hide the blinds away when not used. The drawn up blinds can be hidden behind this valance as well as it adds a style of elegance throughout the overall appearance of the whole room. Whatever choice or desire you want for every room in your home, eyelet curtains are the lightest and the simplest drapes and there is no reason that you will choose a heavier material especially when you are used to change your ambience more frequently.
