Millions of people all around the world are going through a struggle with their weight. While dieting and exercise is key to losing the extra pounds, it is not always a guarantee. The vast majority of people lose weight and then it often times it creeps back on. It is important to know that so many people go through this process and are constantly looking for the right approach for them to lose the weight. Along with dieting and exercise, it is common for people to be on the lookout for some sort of pill that can help speed up the weight loss process and help you keep it off for good. There are dozens of different types of pills on the market that claim to be the miracle cure and can promise that you will lose weight. I am of the school, that I like to know about what I am taking and if it is safe. The best way that you can know what you are taking is to take FDA approved diet pills.

FDA approved diet pills are not at all common because of their high standards of excellence. They carefully evaluate all drugs submitted to them and issue their approval if it meets their requirement. The drug that you have probably heard all about is called Orlistat. GlaxoSmithKline manufactures this drug and in order to get it, you will need a prescription. While the name Orlistat might not sound familiar, it's over the counter version called Alli will ring a bell. Alli is available without a prescription and is a lower dose that Orlistat. You can read the various results people have gotten by taking Alli, but the FDA has found that it does help you lose more weight if you take it.

There are side effects with any medicine and Alli is no different. Alli helps regulate how much fat you absorb, so if you consume too much fat in a day, you will have complications. Among the most common side effects are incredibly painful stomach aches and severe diarrhea. If you consume too much fat, your body will not absorb it and it will go right through your digestive system. Alli is not for everyone, but if you are determined to lose weight and see maximum results, you should consider it. Alli or Orlistat are the most widely used and popular FDA approved diet pills on the market, but keep your eye out. There is bound to be more coming.
