Facts About Taurus the Bull
Taurus is the second sign of the zodiac and is represented by a strong, stubborn and secure bull. Although Taurus gets a rather bad reputation around the zodiac for being obstinate, the bull has many positive qualities. Taurus has a very strong sense of value, along with being trustworthy, kind hearted, patient, reliable and highly determined to whatever he sets his mind to.
KNow that we know the bascis, let's take a closer look at Taurus the Bull. Here are a few other interesting facts about Taurus that most people don’t know about:
1) Taurus is Negative in Polarity – This doesn’t mean that the zodiac sign Taurus is always down and depressed or that they see things in a negative light. This simply means that Taurus is highly introverted (in fact it is the most introverted sign of the entire zodiac), as opposed to positive polarity signs which are rather extroverted. Negative polarity signs are generally more sensitive and nurturing than positive polarity signs. They also tend to look deep inside themselves and test their own limits and draw upon their own experiences rather than actively searching for stimulation from the external sources. Negative signs tend not to be bubbly and excited as positive signs are, but instead keep a tight wrap on their emotions. This may cause others to think that they are cold and distant, but they are actually very warm people. The other negative signs of the zodiac include Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn and Pisces.
2) Taurus is Feminine – The sign of Taurus is feminine and therefore more sensual than the masculine signs. The feminine signs are also attributed to the night rather than the day as the moon is considered feminine and the sun is considered masculine. Earth and Water signs are considered to be feminine while Fire and Air signs are considered to be masculine. Taurus is an Earth sign.
3) Taurus rules the Second House of the Zodiac – The second house of the zodiac is known as the “House of Material Possessions” and everything that which a person cherishes can be found in this house. This means that Taurus generally has a strong affiliation with all sorts of luxuries and has the potential to gain many (if not all) of life’s pleasures. This house also shows the values which a person stands for such as integrity, ethics and morals. As a result of this, Taurus has a highly developed sense of right and wrong and will follow his heart on any matter which he feels is right. Taurus may be stubborn at times, but he can always be counted on to do the right thing and follow his conscience.
A few more interesting facts about Taurus are as follows:
- The opposite of Taurus is Scorpio and these two both have a very sensual outlook on life, resulting in one of the most passionate sex lives of the zodiac.
- Taurus is ruled by the Planet Venus which is the reason for his sometimes overly sensual nature.
- The star stone of the Taurus is the green emerald.
