If planning a family vacation, there are many options available for a family cruise package. Some of the most popular cruise lines have package deals for families when booking cruises. They even offer specials depending upon how many people are traveling and when the cruise is booked. Royal Caribbean Cruise Line is very family friendly for children. They even have special amenities for kids, such as activities planned out on daily schedule, rock climbing, and art classes. For smaller children, there is a Fisher-Price playgroup.

If looking to have the entire family participate in activities, some cruises offer that as well. This can range from playing miniature golf to even a movie night, all on the ship! There are also many ports of call on the itinerary, and these ports probably have several fun activities the entire family can partake in, such as snorkeling or hiking. The ships have different bedroom accommodations, and many can hold from three to fourteen people. Everyone has different family sizes, so suites can be booked next to each other. Other cruise lines tailored to families are Disney and Nickelodeon cruise lines. Many of the Disney vacation packages allow kids to sail for free. This is a big money saver for many parents.

Many destinations are available to choose from when booking a cruise. Some sail through the Mediterranean, around Alaska, or even the Caribbean. There are many different landscapes and cultures to experience along the way which is a great opportunity for kids. If worried about how little things will add up in price on a cruise, book the all inclusive cruise which will save a lot of money.

All inclusive cruises include all meals and any hotel accommodations for the length of the journey. Money can also be saved by booking during a non peak season, which can add up to a couple of thousand dollars.

Have an idea in mind of what is wanted on vacation and call a trusted local travel agent. They can give you many great options, best deals, and best times to book. Many specials are available for first time sailors as well as loyal customers that come back. Another option is to do the research online and book directly through a family cruises company. Many cruise companies have very accommodating customer service departments that can meet all of your needs.
