Far Cry Primal - How To Build and Upgrade Your Village

By Edited Aug 10, 2016 1 1

After being ambushed and becoming the sole survivor of his hunting party, Takkar finds himself alone and helpless in the Oros Valley. However, as players follow the storyline, Takkar comes into his own as he learns to not only survive, but thrive. In order to acclimate to the harsh landscape, Takkar must work with others. He will need people, and they will need somewhere to stay. By bringing people to your village, you not only earn XP and resources for Takkar to use, you will also attract specialists to give you access to a fun new array of deadly Mesolithic weaponry and gear.

Your village is capable of supporting eight buildings, and each building has an upgraded version. However, in order to build and upgrade the buildings, players will need to collect specific resources for each upgrade, with later versions even requiring difficult to obtain rare animal skins. While many of the initial buildings, save for a few late game ones, are easy to build with only a few basic materials, the building upgrades will require some more serious effort in not only grinding materials, but getting the required number of regular villagers as well.

The eight structures you can build in your village are used to house specialists, but by rescuing tribesmen and completing missions, you will be able to attract regular villagers. At each regular villager milestone, players will receive and XP boost and bags of resources.

The population milestones in your village are as follows:

  • 20 Villagers – 1 Bag of Resources

  • 40 Villagers – 2 Bags of Resources

  • 60 Villagers – 3 Bags of Resources

  • Every 10 Villagers after 60 – 2% XP Boost per additional 10 Villagers.
