Fedders, which began as a room air company and eventually grew to offer a full line of residential products, has been a recognized name in heating and air conditioning for many years.

Fedders was purchased by Airwell Group of Paris in March 2008, after Fedders' bankruptcy. Airwell Group itself has a well respected history, dating back to 1947 as the first company to design and produce air conditioners in Europe.

One of the most popular of Fedders' line is the 'Q Chassis.' Retailing for approximately $429, the A6Q-10F-2D is one of Fedders air conditioners that is rated to handle a space of roughly 450 square feet.
