Female Hair Restoration A Reality

By | Dec 18, 2010 | 0 Comments | Rating: 0

The direct answer is yes, at last. For so many years, men have had various ways to deal with the thinning hair on their scalps but, in the case of women, female hair restoration was impossible. Their only way to hide the condition was by covering their heads using a wig and then wishing it would not fall off or wearing hats or scarves. True restoration of hair for them was none existent.

No matter what hair restoration price they were willing to spend, women just did not have any options that really worked. Finally, in the last decade or so this problem has been dealt with. Women now have a solution to hair loss.

Because of Minoxidil, this has changed because it is formulated for the treatment of specific problems such as the early inception of hair loss. Minoxidil was initially formulated as a medication to treat high blood pressure for men. It worked very well for that purpose but a fascinating side effect had also become eminent. Men who were part of the trial for the drug treatment had noticed how the symptoms of their male pattern baldness were decreasing. Most of the time, the hair loss would discontinue and some have experienced a reasonably extensive hair re-growth. Further clinical trials of the drug as hair loss treatment were immediately executed.

These studies proved that the drug can satisfactorily treat hair loss so it was recommended to become a topically applied solution for treating male pattern baldness. It was still not considered as a way to solve the hair loss problems of women however. Recently, this has taken a full turn because further studies have concluded that it can also improve hair loss in women.

It is topically applied twice a day to a woman's scalp as it is used as a hair restoration treatment for women. The steps to do it are simple where the solution should only be dropped onto the scalp using an eyedropper and, then, massaged in for some minutes. After doing the treatment rigorously for a month, the majority of female users have seen positive outcome in improving their thinning hair. The only notable difference between the treatments of male and female is the allowable strength of the solution. Men can use a 5% solution whereas women can only purchase 2% strength. There are some arguments as of the moment if this limit is necessary but, at present, this is the approved medication by US FDA.
