Fighting cancer : the CT Chang's way

September 11, 2012 was a sad day for me. That day my friend, the Cancer Warrior succumbed to the dreaded cancer curse. Cancer, the curse of mankind! My friend’s name was Chang Chee Teck, or better known as CT Chang. Actually I never met him in person. Chang was a friend whom I found in the internet. While I was surfing the internet for more information on fighting cancer I came across his blog “Upekha”. He had been fighting cancer for the past three years. Fighting cancer is an uphill task, yet Chang kept on fighting cancer like a true warrior. He was indeed the greatest warrior I have ever seen, fighting cancer on all fronts.

Chang could have been gone a few days earlier or a few days later, but he chose to leave us on September 11, 2012. Three years ago on this fateful day, the doctor gave him 6 months to live. He fought on gallantly, and lived for another three very fruitful years to the day. Chang had full control of his mind, and he chose to leave us on September 11, a very meaningful and emotional day. I shall remember this day for the rest of my life...911!

Fighting cancer on all fronts

To the world, September 11, 2001 was a very sad day. Ever since then, 911 has been a day of sad reminiscence. To Chang, that was a fateful day. It was that day in 2009 that the doctor had to inform Chang that he had stage 4 kidney cancer. To add to the bad news, the cancer had also spread to both his lungs. His doctor gave him 6 months to tidy up his personal affairs. In other words, he had only 6 months to live. All known conventional cancer treatments would not save Chang. From September 11, 2009 onwards he began a new journey to the unknown, fighting cancer on all fronts. Chang’s journey lasted 3 full years to the day.

During his three fruitful and eventful years, Chang had won great admiration for his unwavering courage in fighting cancer and his ability to search out and analyze alternative cancer treatments from the internet; and then administered them on himself. His first discovery was the Gerson cancer protocol which helped him to survive for such a long period. Chang followed the Gerson therapy with much success and continuously used it as his base or foundation treatment throughout his journey in fighting cancer. During his entire journey fighting cancer, Chang studied, probed, and analyzed in great depth every available alternative treatment that he could find in the internet. With careful deliberation for each treatment, he would carefully administer personally to himself. From the highly technical treatments to the most unlikely remedies, Chang knew them all, and he experimented with them whenever he found to be viable. At one stage he even experimented with fungicide which was recommended by a highly reliable source!

Chang shared his findings and experience with the world

His search brought him to the four corners of the world via the internet. With his blog postings, he was able to reach thousands of readers from all walks of life, who were either fighting cancer or seeking for more cancer information. Many people have benefited from his blog postings on the various treatments as well as from his personal experiences which he shared without any reservation. Chang had also personally helped many cancer patients who went to seek help and advice from him.

May my friend, CT Chang, rest in peace.
