There is a lot of free family entertainment to be found at your local library. It can be your family's best resource for free year-round entertainment. All you need is a library card!

Books

Books offer a lot of free family entertainment for your family. Do you want to read the latest New York Times bestseller? No need to fork over twenty-five dollars at the local bookstore for a copy. Just go to your local library and place your request if the book is already checked out.

If your children have fallen in love with a particular author or series, your library will have access the full set. In fact, when you know that a new title is coming out, you can request the library to buy it and be first in line to read it.

DVDs and CDs

Movies and music are a great source of family entertainment that can be found at your local library. While owning the newest DVD releases is great if you can afford it, will you really watch the movie more than once? Take it out of the library for free!
