Find Free Gift Cards Online

By Edited Nov 13, 2013 0 0

Times are tough in America due to all the economic struggles that we currently face in this country. This is causing many people to go out looking for things such as free gift cards. I'm sure there are plenty of people out there thinking that nothing is free and in a way they are correct. There is often a catch when it comes to getting anything for free.

The most commonly talked about way to earn free gift cards is by filling out online surveys. I personally don't like doing anything online involving surveys or email offers because so many of them are scams. Many times you end up getting scammed with them possibly getting ahold of your credit card ruining your credit and making you pay for things you didn't want in the first place.

The best piece of advice that I can offer here is to never give anybody your personal information such as social security number or credit card details online. Most legit companies won't make you have to give up such information anyways so that helps determine the scams from the real deal.

There is one solid way to get truly free gift cards and that is through companies as business promotions. It's real common for businesses to give out these items in order to draw attention to a new location or gain customer attention for a big upcoming product. For example there was a new Chinese restaurant open near my house and they offered a $5 Wal-Mart gift card to anybody that came to the grand opening. I know this isn't exactly free but those are the kind of deals most likely to be found from stores.

If you check out the local paper they often have ads displaying promos for free gift cards. I know that sometimes car companies will offer them to people who come and test drive a new car. That is a pretty good deal in my opinion as you get to drive around in a brand new car and earn something for free in the process. In the past phone companies have offered such deals as well.

Then last but not least you have some more traditional methods of trying to earn free gift cards. A person can simply write companies via email and ask for a small certificate so they can test the product. This has been known to work sometimes will restaurants as they hope you will get there and end up spending more money in the process. If all else fails just ask family members when it comes time for your birthday or Christmas and they can be received as a gift. I recommend doing further searches online as there are many links out there that can lead to good resources on the internet.
