Finding Quality Patio Cushions
For your next set of patio furniture cushions, make the investment and get a better set of cushions. By better, this usually means spending a tad bit more than you would ordinarily think for a chair cushion. In this case, however, it is worth it. Don't spend money just to spend money on your patio cushions, find the best deal of course. But, what you will find with these products is that the more you spend, typically, the better quality the cushion.
So, what does 'better' mean and how much is that going to cost you? Well, better means that the cushions themselves are simply made of better materials. Better fabrics that go into making the cushions means that they can last longer. A longer lasting fabric, means less care and maintenance for you. This is a good thing to borrow a line from Martha Stewart.
In addition to the better fabric, you will find better craftsmanship that goes into the stitching and padding. So, when you use them, they don't fall apart. I know, it seems like a silly thing to expect from your patio cushions to stay together and all. You'd be surprised how much is skimped on to save in labor. But, this is often not even translated into the sales price. Good cushions will cost you more because they are actually made with better material and better construction, it's just that simple.
For a quality cushion, expect to pay in the neighborhood of $50 - $75 USD each. Yes, I know that sounds a bit much at first blush. This number seems high if you are thinking about it in comparison to what it is. I mean, you just sit on this outside when you go out on your patio, right? Why is it this much? But think about this. What you are paying for is not actually some tangible thing. Well, you are, but stick with me. You are paying for the enjoyment time that you will get from it. See, it is really more of a benefit to you type of thing. The more enjoyment you can have with friends and family, not worrying about squirming and being uncomfortable in your chair, the better off you are. If you think about it like this, it isn't as difficult to justify the cost for what you are getting. Compare this to a $19.99 or something costing chair cushion and you will quickly see the differences. And, in the end, you will probably spend more on the cheaper ones as you will be replacing them much more frequently.
As you can tell, good quality patio cushions are worth the money you spend on them. If it weren't for my patio furniture cushions, I'd probably spend a lot more time indoors. That time indoors cannot replace the nice summer and spring air and chilling patio side with good friends and good entertainment.
