By Edited Jan 1, 2014 0 1

Most of us appreciate the awe inspiring beauty of the classic fine art pieces that grace our museums and monuments. Maybe you have seen a local fine artist that produces fine art of stunning quality and beauty. Have you ever said to yourself, "I wish I could have that in my home or office"?

Fine art is often very expensive due to the time and effort that has been put into the work. There is a solution to this problem. Fine art prints.

Fine art prints give you the ability to bring the classic beauty and elegance of fine art into your home or office at a fraction of the price. Modern fine art prints are also of amazing quality and continue to improve as technology makes the printing of fine art prints even more detailed and closer to the original masterpiece.

Where Can I Find Fine Art Prints?

Modern scanning technology has made the availability of fine art prints soar in recent years. Below are a few suggestions of where to find fine art prints.

  • Interior Design Showrooms - Interior design showrooms often showcase a lot of fine art prints either from local or past artists that are available for sale. The owners of a design showroom typically have a lot of contacts as well and will likely be able to get their hands on good fine art prints if you ask them. Take a look online or in your local phone book. You are likely to have one in your area or very close by.
  • Art Galleries - Typically when we think of art galleries we might think of original pieces of art. While this is often true, they may also have fine art prints for sale. If they do not have any available, sometimes an artist may be willing to convert an original painting they have produced into a fine art print. You may have to search a little harder for an art gallery in your area, but these can be great places in which to find fine art prints.
  • Check Online - The World Wide Web is best tool for information we have today. Type 'fine art prints' into any major search engine and you will likely find yourself with a slew of resources at your fingertips. Sites like eBay and Craigslist are also fantastic sites in which to find fine art prints.
  • Local Art Shows - These are great places to find fine art prints as artists will often use prints as their preferred method of selling their work in this setting. Don't be afraid to browse around and ask questions. You may even have some luck if you ask an artist or vendor if they have more available than just what they have out on display.

These are just a few suggestions of where to find fine art prints. Finding them can often require just as much creativity as went into the creation of the painting itself! However, fine art prints are becoming more and more popular so your search may not take as long as you have anticipated.

If you are in the market for a way to add a classical touch of elegance and atmosphere to your home or office, consider fine art prints. These gems are fantastic way in which to introduce class and culture into any interior design. With the advance in printmaking technology in recent years, your friends and colleagues will likely not even be able to tell it is a print. Don't be afraid to experiment and step out. Fine art prints are a low cost and high impact method of bringing a classical touch to your modern space.

Usually I like to see what I am buying before I put it in my home, but I have had good luck at a few web sites with art prints. The one I would recommend for black and white photography is BrooklynPrints.com -- I bought 2 framed prints there that are gallery quality, and I spent less than $400 for both of them in wood frames. Good value, no hidden costs (every time I take something to Michael's to get it framed, they always charge me more than what they advertise.)
