Commercials - This can be an annoying part of watching TV, but it makes the perfect time to try and squeeze in some home fitness without equipment.

Quick Exercises With Simple Equipment - If you can swing a few pieces of equipment, then you can take this up a notch to help lose weight and feel more limber.
Small hand weights - You can use cans of soup for this if you don't have any hand weights.
Skipping Rope - This would make a great commercial break exercise, just make sure you have clearance and don't take out any light fixtures!
Treadmill or Stationary Cycle - You could drag these out and place them in the TV room, and maybe get on them during the entire show instead of the breaks! Get all your laundry off of them and dust them off ready for use.
The idea behind these tips, is that you don't have to belong to a gym, or run a marathon to help with your fitness goals. You can get your heart rate up with some cardio exercises and do some resistant training for your muscles, and take a break when your show comes back on.
