Has this ever happened to you? It's 5 o'clock, you're on the interstate, and there's no way you're getting home before midnight. You're scanning the passing road signs, searching for an appetizing place to stop and eat. Nothing that you see is going to fit within your diet, but you're just too hungry to care. Well, the next time you're in this situation, keep these restaurants in mind:
Applebee's has a Weight Watcher's menu which contains several tasty meals that won't damage your diet. My favorite is the Cabernet Mushroom Sirloin. It is a "7 oz. grilled House Sirloin with sautéed Portobello mushrooms & onions in Napa Valley cabernet sauce with steamed herbed potatoes and garlic broccoli." Sounds good, right? It gets even better. It's only 460 calories with 47 grams of protein!
Chili's is one of my favorite restaurants. They have a menu that is full of great-tasting meal choices. However, when I am trying to be strict on a diet, I usually go with the Margarita Grilled Chicken. It has 550 calories and 46 grams of protein, along with only 14 grams of fat!
I like to keep a classic on reserve. Subway has always been a go-to for me, because they are almost everywhere and have several menu items that taste good and keep me going. The one sandwich that I keep coming back to, however, is the 6 inch Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki. It tips the scales at only 380 calories and 4.5 grams of fat. Beware of this sandwich though; you will want to order a footlong once you taste it!
