The Five best attractions at Universal Studios
I have recently been on holiday to Orlando and spent a lot of my time at Universal Studios. Here is a list of the attractions I enjoyed most during my time there.
Hollywood’s Rip Ride Rockit
The best part of this ride is that when you get on you can choose your own music which really enhances the experience. The ride itself isn’t a very scary one but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a great fun experience because it is! There are loads of twists and turns and even loops although the ride twists around so that at no point do you go upside down.
Revenge of the Mummy
To be honest when I first got on this ride I wasn’t very impressed. However you just need to be patient because it becomes a brilliant ride. It starts of very slowly but after a scary backward drop it quickly picked up pace and became a great even slightly scary ride, full of twists and scary effects including fire, Scary Mummies coming at you and gross scarab beetles.
The Simpsons Ride
The Simpsons ride is a simulator ride with a 3D screen in front of you. It is very realistic and you almost feel like you are there on the roller coaster. Before you get on the ride you have to watch a very funny spoof safety video. The premise of the ride is that you are visiting Crusty Land which is a very low rent and crummy theme park. The twist is that side show bob has rigged the ride and things go very wrong.
This attraction is in two parts, the first part is an interactive show in which some members of the audience take part. What happens is that they show you how special effects are done and then at the end of this part a short film is put together staring people from the audience for you all to see. When you leave the theatre you get on to an underground train and disaster strikes you are then an extra in another film, there is an earthquake and rocks and water fall all around you. This is an interesting and very fun ride.
Beetlejuice’s Graveyard Review
Dracula, the Wolf man, Frankenstein and the Bride of Frankenstein all join Beetlejuice in this live open air spectacular music and dance show. The show is very funny and hugely entertaining! Parental guidance is advised as there are obviously no height restrictions and some small children might find the show slightly scary, however my 3 year old was singing and dancing all the way through the show.
Well there you have it my top five recommendations for Universal studios. I hope you enjoy your time there as much as I did!
