Flip Mino HD Video Camera Review
The Flip Mino HD, with it's small and portable size, handy flip out USB connector and full resolution HD video recording adds up to an affordable yet easy to use solution for those wanting to make videos this summer and beyond with minimal fuss.
The handy USB connector 'flips' out from the body of the camera and it's this design that this and all Flip Video cameras have in common. Although now copied from other camera manufacturers the Flip camera was the very first video camera to all the user to easily transfer the videos from the camera to the their computers where they can easily share the high definition movies they make with their friends and family on sites such as youtube, flikr or facebook.
A connecter to share videos is only as useful if the camera is capable of recording video that's worth sharing in the first place, and again the Flip Mino HD doesn't let us down with it's full 1280x720p high definition videos that are recorded in native 16:9 video format, or 'widescreen' video if you prefer. Either way the videos you create today will look gorgeous on high definition TV's or other such devices for sharing your creations with friends and family alike.
The Flip Mino is one of the smaller flip video cameras available today and makes a fantastic way to record the events of the summer such as camping trips or days at the beach.
Included Flip Share software allows you to combine the software and the USB connector to easily guide you and help you get the video off of the camera and onto your computer, which makes it super easy to share videos.
The built in 2 inch LCD display might seem a bit small at first glance, but it's bright and clear and makes it easy to see your videos in both playback and recording modes. And speaking of recording it couldn't be much easier to record video using the Flip - just hit the big red button on the back of the video recording and you are recording video like a pro with the press of the button.
If there's one drawback to the Flip Mino's all in one design is that this Flip Mino does not offer any memory expansion. The Flip Mino does come with 2 hours of space to recordi your videos - and this should be enough for most users - but some power users might want to look at other video cameras that offer a memory slot.
The Flip Mino HD offers an all in one solution to portable movie making this summer and beyond. The beauty of the Flip is it's simplicity. No cables or memory cards. Just a big red button to push and a lot of memories to be made.
