CNA jobs are abundant, even in time of economic drought. If you have a CNA license, you are literally unlimited in where you can work, as well unlimited in the number of career advancements that are available to you. If you have a CNA certification, it's a great idea to back up your credentials with a strong resume in order to land a job quickly. Here's a free CNA resume outline to make the process easier and more streamlined.

Use an objective in your CNA resume-cautiously.
An objective can help you land a CNA job if it is well crafted and carefully custom designed for each job that you apply to. Many people lose out on CNA job opportunities, however, by mistakenly turning in an application with an irrelevant objection.

For example, you don't want to turn in a CNA resume with an objective that says "I have a passion for working with youth within the health care filed", if you are applying for CNA jobs at nursing homes. As long as you are careful with your CNA objective, you can enhance your applications with this detail.

Detail your work experience.
Nursing jobs are most easily gained by people who best know how to manipulate and convey their experience in previous health care jobs. CNA jobs are often filled by those candidates who have experience; if you have worked in the healthcare field before in any respect, be sure to include that on your CNA resume. If you are looking for your very first CNA job; fear not. Any work history is valuable work history, it shows that you know how to show up on time and follow order of supervisors.

Even if your past jobs were not in the CNA career field, include the dates and duties that the job consisted of to bulk up your resume. If you have no work experience at all, you may want to consider doing volunteer work to help yourself sneak into your first CNA job.

Detail your education.
Education and credentials are a must for CNA resumes; they show how you would be an enhancement to the nursing team. Include where you gained your CNA certification as well as any other specific CNA training sessions you may have had (i.e. Alzheimer's training, etc). If you have any other college degrees, include those on your CNA resume as well. If you have a high school diploma or GED, simply write "High school Graduate" or "High School Diploma Equivalent", without completion dates.

Type up your CNA resume and always include a cover letter that is tailored specifically to meet the job requirements and preferences to which you are applying. You can do this by reading and rereading the job description carefully, and pulling out keywords that apply to your skill set. Look for actionables, and examples of desired work experience that you possess.

Always have at least one person (preferably more than one) look over your resume for spelling errors and typos. It's important that you don't make any simple mistakes in your application. Having a well crafted certified nursing assistant resume will help you secure the job that you are after.
