and some discussion...
Something that was missing from the landscape surrounding keywords research and writing for InfoBarrel was free keywords. Many members here contributed to a good discussion on keywords, resources to use and what worked for different people using different methods of both research and writing. What struck me though was the lack of free information, resources and discussion out there on keywords – at least free in the long term – not just for the first month. So I created a new blog – FreeKeywordsForAll - designed as a place for discussion, learning and examples of keywords, and how they can be used to get good natural search engine rankings and therefore also for consistent profits.
Don’t get me wrong, I am no expert in keywords or SEO techniques and such things, but I am keen to provide such information as I am able to provide to people who want it. I remember what it was like just starting out in article writing, hearing about keywords, then when I tried to find out more I was bombarded with offers for me to spend money on tools I didn’t understand or even think I needed. That certainly still seems to be the case given the confused discussion that is around the place about keyword research products.
You don’t need to spend money to succeed at this writing online thing...
However I won’t lie to you, it does help to spend just a little bit on well chosen tools to help you in your trade. After all, a new bricklayer doesn’t have to mix cement by hand, but they can – it certainly will speed up the process if you buy a cement mixing machine, which greatly assists the process. The same goes for products that you purchase – it helps to have some decent tools.
I won’t go through and provide you with a list of things you need to buy to succeed at writing online and how to do it – it’s been done before. I will tell you though that I do use Niche Finder for my keyword research – and yes that is an affiliate link. I use that tool as the basis for my research and the information that I post on FreeKeywordsForAll. And I do that because it’s really good at what it does and how the awesome information is presented. No nonsense and no frills.
So if you’re hesitant to look at a free trial of this software, or that website or whatever other offer is around for free keyword information – have a look at the new blog (link above) and see what you think. If you have any questions or suggestions, post them. If I don’t know the answers, I’ll try and find out for you – because I sure don’t know everything, but I am not afraid to find out a thing or two. Free keywords are scarce – and discussion about keywords that may be profitable and exactly how to profit from those keywords is even rarer. So enjoy it!
