Free Laptop
Today laptop computers are more popular than desktop models, and it is
not difficult to see why. Today's laptops are just as powerful and can
accommodate just as much data storage as larger desktops, and they are
smaller and more portable than ever, allowing users to take their
computer virtually anywhere, and to take advantage of the wireless
internet services now offered in libraries, schools, coffee shops and
restaurants all over the world. Best of all, there are now more ways
than ever to receive a free laptop!
Strange though it may seem, some companies are giving away free laptops
for promotional purposes. They do this to spread the word about a
product they are confident in, hoping those who receive a free laptop
will show it off to their friends, who will see the appeal of the
product and go out and buy one of their own. Giving away a few hundred
free laptops can sometimes result in the sale of a few thousand,
generating quite a profit for the company.
However, such giveaways, though more prevalent than ever, are still
relatively rare. If you want a free laptop, you will most likely have
to go through a provider that practices either incentive- or
multi-level marketing.
Multi-level marketing has earned a bad name for itself, one that is not
entirely undeserved. Multi-level marketing is the method used by those
who push pyramid schemes and "get rich quick" scams on unsuspecting
consumers. However, if your only goal is a free laptop, and if you know
the requirements going in, this can still be an acceptable way to get
your hands on that computer. The way it usually works, you will be
required to browse a list of special offers from advertisers, and
choose one to take advantage of. You may have to sign up for a trial
subscription to a mail-order video rental service, for example. Then,
for the second step you will have to forward these offers to a
specified number of others. Once the required number of them have
accepted one of the advertisers' offers, you can claim your free laptop.
Obviously, the multi-level approach is not ideal. Incentive marketing
offers a similar, but simpler route. This way, you complete the
advertisers' offers yourself. You may have to do more than one to
qualify for a prize as valuable as a free laptop, but even if you find
yourself paying for a subscription you do not really want, it will
still likely be far less than the retail cost of a laptop, had you paid
for one.
Finally, in your search for a free laptop, take care to avoid scams. A
famous one has been making its way around the internet in the form of
spam emails for nearly a decade. It promises you a free Sony
laptop, if you only forward the email to a certain number of people. It
is a scam designed to increase the mailing lists of spammers and direct
advertisers, and you will not receive a free laptop no matter how many
friends you forward the offer to. Always make sure you are dealing with
a reputable source. Instead, if you really want a laptop, you should consider laptop financing instead. Financing a laptop is much more safe and in the long run, ensures that you really get what you want.
