Full Time RV Living - Is It Best To Test It Out First?

By Edited Mar 20, 2014 0 0

RV Camping on a full time basis is a remarkable change from weekend or vacation RV camping in an RV park campground. You certainly may want to check out the full-time RVing lifestyle before you go and sell everything you have.

Of course, when you have any doubts in regards to the full-time RV camping lifestyle in any way, do a few trial runs. You might find the RV’ing lifestyle isn't at all what you thought it was going to be.

We've got a possibility to romanticize our dreams and then reality shows up. The best way to be positive about this is to definitely start travelling and stay in a few RV campground parks.

Use your vacation time in order to RV camping. Go on weekends. Rent an RV if possible. Rather than going to the local state park, Corps of Engineers campground, or national park, go stay in a typical, run-of-the-mill RV park. If you have to try to pay your way while traveling, you will be spending a great deal of your time living in an RV campground park.

Trust me, living in an RV park versus a state park campground or very similar location, is quite a contrast. RV campgrounds are usually not likely destination points.

Better still, in case you curently have an RV, hook it up in your driveway, or perhaps in backside of your home, and just try living in it. That's right, move in. If you have to work to pay your way while you travel, you will find that in lots of ways life will stay exactly the same. You will get up every day, start working, come home and simply wait for the weekend. Not very much different from everyday life, except you'll be residing in a very tiny space, most likely with someone else.

You're going to find that there's no privacy to speak of. Could you deal with this on a long term basis? Really? You’re gonna be living in really close quarters, and when you aren’t constantly able to move on to new adventures, you will need to face the daily grind while you wait for your upcoming adventure. This could test a relationship. If at all possible, figure this out prior to selling your house, if you ever own one, and all of your stuff. You'll probably determine that RV’ing could be the life you were meant for. Also you may discover you would've been happier doing something different.

Once again, if you've got the opportunity, try out the RV Camping lifestyle with a trial run or two. It may answer a lot of crucial, life-altering questions.
