Las Vegas has been called an adult amusement park; that’s true, but there are plenty of things for children to do as well. Here are a few suggestions:
SkyZone Indoor Trampoline Park
This is the newest attraction for kids in the valley. Located on the east side of the valley off Tropicana near Boulder Highway, it’s a large warehouse-sized building with wall-to-wall trampolines and more trampolines set at an angle along the walls. You can jump from one trampoline to another and travel across the whole room as well as bounce off the walls. In addition to open jumping, dodge ball and SkyRobics fitness classes are offered. Tickets for 60, 90, or 120 minutes can be purchased. There is open jumping time as well as special times just for certain age groups. An accident waiver must be signed and special shoes must be rented before entering.
Pole Position Raceway
Pole Position is an indoor go-kart raceway. There are two locations, one at Arville and Flamingo, and on the west side near Tenaya and Smoke Ranch. Kids must be at least 48” tall to race. There are different karts and race tracks for adults and kids. Helmets are provided. After each race, drivers receive results sheets with lap times and race results. Also offered are Youth Racing Camps during summer months, parties and group events.
Las Vegas Mini Gran Prix
This is an outdoor go-kart raceway located at Rainbow and Vegas Drive. This venue has four tracks to accommodate four types of go karts. There are 2-seater go karts so small children can ride with adults, also karts just for adults and some just for children. The venue also features amusement park rides, arcade games, a pizza restaurant and party room for rent.
Adventuredome at Circus Circus
The 5.5 acre pink dome behind the Circus Circus resort on the strip houses an indoor amusement park. Rides inside the dome include 4-D theater adventures, a double-loop double-corkscrew roller coaster, and dozens of other amusement park rides for kids and adults. Also found inside the air conditioned dome are a miniature golf course, indoor rock climbing, bungee jumping, food and entertainment. All-day ride passes can be purchased or you can pay individually by ride.
Additionally, all the local’s casinos have supervised kids play areas like “Kids Quest” at the Stations casinos. They offer supervised play areas, arcade games, quiet places for rest and arts and crafts.
