Future Advancements in the Spy Pen

Technology is always progressing and all sorts of different ideas and new concepts are taken and applied to new areas and objects every single day. Aptly named spy gadgets and spy equipment is what of the major areas this happens within as technologies are applied to help hide a devices true objective. The spy pen has recently seen some of these advances applied and it has greatly enhanced some of its features.

A major floor in the application of the spy pen camera has been keeping them going long enough to record what you need them to. Because of their short battery life you have to know when an event is going to happen to be sure you capture it in its entirety. Their design to make them self-sufficient certainly has its drawbacks, namely that it must contain its own power supply unit.

We all know a battery is never going to last forever and at some point will need replacing or recharging. Within the confines of a spy pen only a certain amount of room is available. This leads to batteries being small and not able to hold much charge. A test we carried out on 6 models showed the average life span to be 3hours and 27minutes.

But the good old inventors have found a solution to our problem. I’m not going to hype it up more than it deserves, as it doesn’t fully fix the problem. But it does give us more flexibility when it comes to endurance usage of our little spy cameras. They have taken the concept of rechargeable batteries and evolved it.

You can now attach a standard every day AA battery to your spy pen when it runs out of charge. Keep it connected for 30minutes and you are good to go for you spy pens maximum life span once again. Brilliant. Not perfect, but it will do.

One of the small advancements that has yet to fully take off is the development of signal detectors within the spy pen. This will warn you via a discreet flashing light when it detects a nearby signal both outgoing and oncoming being sent. On its own its not that much use but it does let you know when a wireless camera or microphone is nearly by streaming footage of you. Or when a nearly by person is sending or receiving a message or phone call on their cell phone.

These small advancements are not ground breaking but help advance our devices slowly and make them brilliant and tricky little devices.
