Gas Oven vs Electric Oven

Gas Oven vs Electric Oven

Which oven is better – gas oven vs electric oven? The answer depends on a variety of factors. Gas ovens are better for some people and electric ovens are better for others. Some people do not like the safety hazards that go along with gas ovens. Gas is dangerous and a gas leak can destroy an entire house in seconds. However, there are advantages to gas ovens. Gas ovens heat faster and provide a more even heating cook top. They will also cool down faster, which helps prevent accidental burns. Many people complain that electric ovens take too long to cool down and they will accidently put something flammable on the hot burner, thinking that it must have cooled down. Electric ovens are better than gas ovens when it comes to baking. Yes, they take longer to warm up but the oven will remain at an even temperature. Gas ovens tend to fluctuate in temperature, which can cause food to burn. To compare gas oven vs electric oven, below is a list of the top 3 gas ovens and the top 3 electric ovens based on customer reviews at Amazon.

Great article. I'm a gas oven man myself, but as an HVAC professional, I'm not so fond of gas furnaces, and really recommend against them, despite the fact that, like gas ovens, they heat faster and more efficiently. There's not a whole heck of a lot that can go bad with a gas oven, with a gas furnace, however, there's a whole lot more of a safety risk.
