Get Out Of Debt By Blogging- A Beginners Guide

By Edited Jan 22, 2016 1 0

One of the many ways that people can transform their life in a positive manner is by getting out of debt. One of the best ways to get out of debt is to generate some additional income beyond your regular 9 to 5 job and then use all of that extra money you earn to pay down your debt.

If you consistently pay down your debt then eventually you'll be out of debt. It can be very motivating once you begin tracking how much debt you have and then begin paying it off. You will soon learn that if you don't eat out at restaurants as much and save money in other ways that you can apply even more money to paying your debt off.

There are numerous ways you can generate income online they can be used to help pay off your debts. You can become a writer here on InfoBarrel. You can start vlogging. You can write your own books and sell them on Amazon as eBooks. You can make your own products to sell at venues such as Etsy and eBay. There are many ways of making money online.

One of the most popular ways of generating money online is by starting your own blog. Here are some tips on starting your own blog so you can make some extra money and help pay off your debt.

Get Your Own Domain Name

The first thing you want to do is head over to a website that sells domain names and buy your own domain name. I do not recommend GoDaddy to anyone. If you do end up buying a domain name from Go Daddy that is okay but definitely do not buy hosting or any other products from GoDaddy. The GoDaddy hosting sucks. I personally use NameSilo to buy my domain names. What I like about NameSilo is that the domains are low cost, there are no pushy up-sells, and domain privacy is included for free.

There are countless hosting companies that you can use. Once again I highly recommend you stay away from GoDaddy. I personally use HawkHost. Make sure that your web host give you access to Fantastico and or Softaculous. Most quality web hosting companies give you access to one or both of these.

WordPress Installation

WordPress is the software that you're going to install on your new hosting account. Installing WordPress is very easy to do even if you're not very technical. The web hosting you signed up with will have Fantastico or Softaculous auto script installer. This means you can use one of these programs and by clicking a few buttons you will automatically get the WordPress software installed on your new web host.

If you never use WordPress before then you will be surprised at how fast you catch on to using the software. There are numerous online tutorials that can teach you about all kinds of different aspects of tweaking your WordPress installation and making it search engine optimization friendly so you can get more visitors from Google and other search engines.

Keep It Simple

When you first become familiar with WordPress it can be overwhelming because there are there so many free plug-ins and themes that can be used with your WordPress installation. My advice is it that when you are a beginner blogger who is looking to make some money to focus on creating content instead of always trying to add a new theme or plug-in. Start with the default theme and keep in mind that you can always change this in the future.

Articles and Content

Hula Hoop Party

Now that your blog is live at your own domain name you need to start adding articles and pictures on a regular basis. The more interesting and informative your articles are then the more traffic you can draw in. Initially you'll get very little traffic, if any, but you need to continually write more articles. You need both a large quantity of articles and you also need these written as quality articles. You need Quality articles and blog posts pumped out in volume.

If you only post 10 articles on your blog and then quit because you are not earning any money then you will fail at blogging like many other people do. If on the other hand you dedicate yourself to writing quality blog posts that are interesting and informative to your readers then you will become successful eventually. If you keep at it and you're very dedicated to creating great content then you can expect to be making a fair amount of money each month within 2 years. if you do nothing then you will continually be a slave to the 9 to 5 job you have now. If you start blogging and do it properly then you could potentially quit your job within 2 years and be blogging full time.

Making Money

Once you have began blogging and have about 20 to 25 quality articles posted on your blog you can apply for the Google Adsense program.

As a new blogger Google Adsense will be the most lucrative way for you to make money and also the easiest. The more traffic you get then the more money you make. Eventually you can branch out and earn ad income for your programs and other products that you're promote and make a share of the profits but for now simply stick to Adsense since you can at least make a few cents here and there with very little traffic. When you begin promoting affiliate products you will not make any money until you start generating a much larger amount of traffic.

If you're wondering what you should blog about then I highly suggest you look at your passions and those things in life that you are truly passionate about and love doing.
