Go Luxurious With Curtains
Changing your home for the better requires a lot of creativity and quite a bit of money. One of the best things you can do is replace all your window curtains. Think about what you like and how you want the house to look. You need to plan ahead on the designs and decorations for the house. If you are hiring an interior designer you might want to be there through the whole process to make sure you will like what you are going to be paying for. Many people will trust a professional home decorator and let it be a surprise. I personally wouldn't want to do that because I like to use my own style and if I'm going to pay all that money I sure don't want to be disappointed. You need to know that there different styles for different areas of the house. For example you can 't use bathroom curtains for the kitchen and you can't use kitchen curtains for the living room.
Every room has completely different modern window curtains styles. If you are redecorating the kitchen then you have the option of cafe style, valance, or valance with tier. These are all the different designs that are tailored only for the kitchen. All can be found in boring or luxurious patterns and colors. You should be able to find anything you are looking for especially if you have standard size kitchen windows.
The bathroom is also quite simple and very affordable since normal bathroom windows are often small. This does not mean you don't have to get creative. This just means you should go all out for such a small window. It can make a huge difference if you choose the better curtains. For the bathroom you just need to be careful when choosing the proper material. The curtains for the bathroom have to be waterproof.
The living room is another whole different story when it comes to getting perfect curtains especially for unique windows. This is the master room of the entire house and it should be the best and most thought out. Some people don't want to hassle at all and simply get vertical blinds for the living room. If you ask me, I think the living room deserves much more than that. I would go all out for this room and set aside a separate budget just for it. I like to have lace or sheer layered beneath thick dark velvet either navy or forest green. I like to keep it dark and think also for insulation to keep cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
You should take it personal when you are designing your home with anything. It might take some of your time or even be stressful at some points but the outcome will be magnificent.
