Everyone wants to be slimmer, healthier and more energetic. The answer is cardio exercises. What are cardio exercises? Any activity that can increase the rate of your heart beating can be considered as cardio exercise. The real problem is that there are so many different types of cardio exercises out there. From jogging to skiing. A person can be spoilt for choice when it comes to picking a good cardio workout. Some activities need a high burst of energy in a short amount of time whilst others are more of a slow burn. The best exercises usually do not need expensive equipment or special facilities and are fun to do all the time. Below are some of the best types of activities that can really give your heart the workout that it needs.

1.Running

Perhaps the most common cardio exercise out there. One of the main advantages of running is you do not need any expensive gym equipment. All you need are a good pair of running shoes and a save route to run through. Running is a high intensity type of activity. Your pulse rate can increase rapidly when you start running . This enables your body to burn a lot of calories in small amount of time. You only to run for 30 minutes a day to keep up a healthy physical condition. An easy way to get started is to find a save route to run. You can make a timetable of alternate days to run. This method can organize your workout sessions and create a mental timetable of when your body has to prepare itself for the physical punishment of running.

2.Swimming

Swimming is a very good cardio exercise because it trains your entire body to work simultaneously at a constant pace. This helps you to lose weight and build muscle. It trains your lungs to store more oxygen in one breath. The buoyancy of water drastically reduces the threat of any injury. This characteristic of water makes you feel completely light and easy when you've probably been swimming for an hour. If you can find a swimming pool with a length of 50 meters or 50 yards then you only need a swimming goggles and a good swim suit. The real secret in swimming is to use the correct technique and practice good form while swimming so that you can get the greatest benefit from your cardio workout.

3.Kickboxing

A really fun type of cardio exercise. Kick boxing is a high intensity type of activity. People who love dance or rhythms tend to love boxing because it is basically all about the rhythm. Three punches and one kick is a basic combo and an example of rhythm in kickboxing. I love kickboxing because it is a great stress reliever. There is no better feeling in the world than realising all of your frustrations on a punching bag. All you need is a good punching bag. Not a piece of meat like Rocky Balboa but a heavy punching bag that will not move around when you keep punching it. You will also need a pair of boxing gloves and shin guards just for protection.

These 3 different exercises are the ones I use to give my heart proper strain. So If you are interested in getting started then there are many good training videos out there. Just remember to always warm out before any cardio exercise sessions. Your heart is one of the most important parts of your body so get out there and start exercising.
