Green Juicing Basics And A Simple Green Juicing Recipe

By Edited Aug 23, 2016 2 2

Greens juices are a great way of fulfilling all your daily vitamin needs and detoxing - and what's best you don't have to cook anything! I am sure the ladies out there would appreciate that these two advantages alone outweigh your taking a fat-laden diet complemented by a huge multivit pill. To be specific about the nutritional value, green juices contain iron, magnesium, calcium, vitamins A,C, K and  a ton of  B vitamins as well - that's just how good the greens are! Also, it easily beats that 16oz coffee mug in terms of the energy it packs in.

Green Juices cut your cravings for food and leave you feeling full. I take a serious interest in green juicing and my website offer a FREE green juicing report that will be mailed directly to your inbox. Towards the end of this article we will also see a green juicing recipe, just to get you started.

Let's see why nutritionists of celebrities swear by green juice detox systems

Greens are alkaline and work great when you wish to lower the pH levels of your blood. Elevated pH levels of the blood can lead to several ailments and diseases. Green Juicing is a great way of detoxing the body's system and getting all the necessary nutrition.

A cleansed and detoxed body is marked by clear and healthy skin and a cheery disposition (which I assume is a result of great nutrition and a healthy bowel cleansing routine).

The The Healthy Green Drink Diet: Advice and Recipes to Energize, Alkalize, Lose Weight, and Feel Great ebook from Jason Manheim makes a good case of green juicing and detox.

If you need great vegan recipes, Wild About Greens: 125 Delectable Vegan Recipes for Kale, Collards, Arugula, Bok Choy, and other Leafy Veggies Everyone Loves makes for great reading (and juicing).

Green juicing and detoxing is difficult but do-able

Detoxing using green juicing will certainly not be the easiest thing to do. Most people will just start and then later chicken out (ironical!!) or just plain forget (or not find the time) to do it.

In order to encourage you and get you started here are some very simple ideas things that you can do to make sure you actually follow through with the detoxing regimen:

1. Get a partner: A friend or co-juicer will certainly boost up your discipline. You can then make commitment and deadlines together and actually have someone to be answerable to.

2. Plan for the expenses: The cost for green juicing may turn out to be prohibitive for some. One thing you can do if you find the costs too hard to jam into your current budget, you can fix a date into the future to start your detoxing regime and in preparation of your future detoxing plans start saving a dollar or two every day.

3. Make a routine: If you find that you forget or can't make the time, just fix a certain time of the day when you have 10 minutes to throw in the ingredients into the juicer. Make sure you are consistent in doing this at the same time of the day, everyday to avoid forgetting about it.

Detox makes for short term dieting

Detox and green juicing is great for ANYBODY. However, it is a Godsent for those who can't manage to stick to a long term diet.

Now, for the promised Green Juice Recipe

Smile if you’re Irish! Leap like a Leprechaun! And don’t get “pinched” on St Patrick’s Day!  With all things green comes a fantastic drink you can make in your juicer that is not only excitedly very green but also a healthy alternative to those sugar laden soft drinks we are all guilty of drinking from time to time. Using but four simple ingredients you can make a delicious drink that will get you past the mid day munchies time period and in a healthy way too!

Ingredients:

2-3 stalks of celery (leave the leaves attached because they add flavor and are good for you!)

4 stalks of Bok Choy (look for small tender leaves)

1-2 cups (packed) spinach leaves

½ cup parsley

Instructions:

Feed all into juicer at once and process 2-3 minutes or until it runs smooth and thin. You can add a few ice cubes to cool or pour over ice in your glass. This bright and beautiful drink just might get the kids to try it because of the intense green coloring!
