Green Kitchen Cleansers You Probably Didn't Know About

By Edited May 31, 2015 0 0

Harsh chemicals are found in kitchen cleansers.  Since we are using them around our food, it can be very harmful for our bodies.  There are green kitchen cleansers that you may want to use instead to ensure your family is safe.

Natural Cleaning Supplies Found In Your Kitchen

Dirty Dozen and Clean Dozen

Orange Peels

Not only do orange peels smell great, but they work to shine up your kitchen sink as well.  Simply rub the orange peel on your metal sink to get rid of any water spots you may have.

Rubbing Alcohol

This may not be as natural as you would like it to be, but it is definitely better than those cleansers filled with chemicals.  Rubbing alcohol works like a charm to get rid of dirt that your vacuum just can’t get rid of on its own.

Lemons smell wonderful and work as a natural deodorizer.  Use lemon juice and mix it with water to scrub your floors, counters and your toilet.  You will be amazed at how naturally clean your house smells after this.

Baking Soda and Vinegar

Baking soda and vinegar together work as a green kitchen cleanser.  There are many ways you can use this natural cleanser n your house.  If you notice your kitchen sink is clogged simply pour a cup of baking soda down your drain followed by some vinegar.  It will start to bubble and will clear it up in no time.  Baking soda and vinegar also works great on floors (especially stinky bathroom floors).  Many times lemon chemical cleansers will cause a urine stench to be stronger on a bathroom floor.  Baking soda and vinegar neutralizes the smell so you don’t have to worry about offending your guests.

All Natural Cleaning Products

Seventh Generation: Seventh Generation makes a wide variety of natural cleansing products for your kitchen.  My favorite has got to be the dish soap.  It smells so great and you can know that your dishes are being appropriately cleaned with this natural cleaning product.

Mrs. Meyers: When you use Mrs. Meyers products to clean your kitchen, you can ensure that you are doing a great job keeping your family safe.  One of my favorite Mrs. Meyers products is the lavender counter top spray.  It makes your kitchen smell wonderful while it cleans it naturally.

J.R. Watkins: This brand is non toxic, biodegradable and phosphate free.  It is also a plant based formula that makes this kitchen cleanser one that you have got to try.  This company avoids harmful chemicals such as artificial dyes, mineral spirit, kerosene, diethylene ether, bleach, petrochemicals, propylene glycol, sodium lauryl sulfate, etc.  You know you are using the right natural cleaning product when you don’t have these harmful ingredients in your cleansers.

Making sure your home is clean is important.  Making sure your home is clean and you cleaned using all natural products is even more important.  If your family’s health is important to you, it is a good idea to switch to natural cleaning products now.  You will notice an improvement in many allergies and your family’s overall well being.
