It is that time of year and if you have been looking for tasty and scrumptious grilled lobster tail recipes that you can do on the barby quickly and wow everyone with, then check this one out.
This is perfect for anyone who wants something quick and simple and maybe doesn’t have much experience grilling lobster tail.
This only takes 7 minutes, so if you can keep your guests from leaping onto the barby to grab one before you are done, then this is a simple recipe for you. Just make sure you have all your side dishes for lobster ready to go, because these grill so fast, you don’t want to be caught short when they are done, because they taste best right off the barby and not sitting around.
6 lobster tails (you can double this recipe for more lobster tails)
¼ cup of fresh lemon juice (you can squeeze lemons or use the real lemon in a bottle)
¼ cup of good olive oil
One Tablespoon of fresh dill (you can use dried but fresh is better if you have it)
Shake of salt (about ¼ teaspoon)
Shake of black pepper (about ¼ teaspoon)
Preheat the grill to medium high (make sure and use the barbeque scraper and clean the grill and make sure it is preheated, usually takes about 15 minutes)
Cut the lobster tails in half (do this lengthwise)
Mix the ingredients in a small bowl, then taking a brush, brush it on the exposed flesh of the cut side of the lobster tail.
Place on the barbeque for about 5 to 7 minutes, making sure to turn once.
Have all your sides ready, and serve.
If you don’t have access to fresh lobster, you can also purchase frozen lobster tails which can be just as easy to barbeque and taste good.
Cucumber Salad - One side dish that will go well with this dish is a very colorful cucumber and tomato and feta salad, and it is easy to make especially if you are in a hurry.
Simply take a cucumber (the long skinny English ones work really well for this as you don’t have to peel them) and slice into quarters into a bowl, then add some chopped tomatoes or even small cherry tomatoes and then use a bottle of greek salad dressing, and pour some over the veggies to taste and stir, then crumble some feta cheese on top.
Do this before you prep for dinner as then the flavors get absorbed by the veggies. This is a fresh tasting summer salad that doesn’t require you to wash and shred lettuce (not my favorite activity!) and it is really colorful. Add a crusty roll and some fresh butter and you have a great backyard meal for you and your friends.
Having a backyard barby doesn’t have to be complicated. Actually the simpler the better, so just think colorful when adding side dishes to your grill lobster tail recipes and add some fresh bread, or crusty rolls and you are set.
