HTC One S is a high-end smartphone aimed at users who can't quite afford HTC's flagship phone, the HTC One X. It is incredibly good looking device with some powerful hardware inside. Lets look at the phone in detail.

The HTC One S has the dimensions 130.9 x 65 x 7.8 mm and weighs 119.5 grams. The phone is very slim as well as lightweight which makes it extremely ergonomical. It has a unibody design with  an aluminium surface which gives it a solid and classy look.

HTC One S features a 4.3 inches Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 540 X 960 pixels. It has Corning Gorilla Glass on top to protect it from scratches and damage. The display has a pixel density of 256 ppi and supports multi-touch. It has good responsiveness to touches, swiping and pinching.

The phone has plenty of connectivity features. For connecting to the internet, you can utilize GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA, HSUPA or Wi-fi. You can also share the phone's internet connection by setting up your phone as a hotspot. File transfer and access features include Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP, microUSB v2.0 and DLNA.

Hardware and Software:
HTC One S is powered by a Dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait processor and has Adreno 225 GPU for company. Internal memory capacity stands at 16 GB out of which around 12 GB is user-available. There is no microSD card slot which means you have to be content with the internal storage. HTC is trying to compensate this shortcoming by offering a free Dropbox account with 25 GB for two years.

Speaking of software, HTC One S runs Google's Android operating system v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with HTC Sense v4.0 user interface out of the box. Users can also upgrade it to Android v4.1 (Jelly Bean) on their own or by visiting their nearest HTC customer service centre.

HTC One S comes with a rear camera of 8 MP which can shoot still images up to a maximum resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels as well as record 1080p videos. There is an LED flash which comes in handy while using the camera in low-light conditions. Other features of the camera app include autofocus, touch focus, geo-tagging, face and smile detection, simultaneous HD video and image recording and much more. At the front, there is a VGA camera which can be used for video calls and portrait photos.

The phone comes with a standard Li-Po 1650 mAh battery which has an official rated stand-by time of up to 317 hours and talk time of up to 10.5 hours.
