HTC One X+ features a NVIDIA Tegra 3 AP37 chipset and is powered by a quad-core 1.7 GHz processor. On the software front, it comes with Google's latest Android operating system 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean) and HTC's improved Sense user interface v4+ out of the box. Being HTC's flagship phone, you can expect to receive software updates pretty quickly whenever Google updates Android. The phone has the same design and dimensions as its predecessor and measures 134.4 x 69.9 x 8.9 mm. The handset is surprising light at 135 grams which is mainly due to the polycarbonate body.

There is a 4.7 inches Super LCD2 capacitive touchscreen which has a HD resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and can display upto 16M colors. The screen has a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 2 for extra protection. Though there is no improvement in the display from the one in the HTC One X, it is still one of the best displays you will get in the market. On the back, you will find a 8 megapixel camera which allows you to take high resolution photos of 3264 x 2448 pixels and HD videos of 1080 pixels at 30 frames per second. There is also a secondary camera of 1.6 megapixel which can be used for video conferencing. One of the interesting features of the camera is the burst mode which takes multiple shots and allows you to choose and keep the best among them. Other features include simultaneous HD video and image recording which means who can take still images even while recording videos. Then there is geo-tagging, smile and face detection, HDR mode and many more features. With the HTC One X+ in your pocket, you won't have to think about carrying any other camera to capture and record your precious moments.

HTC One X+ supports quad-band 2G and 3G networks and you need a micro-SIM card instead of the normal sized sim card. Sensors on the phone include an accelerometer sensor, gyro sensor, proximity sensor and ambient sensor which help improve the overall smartphone experience. The phone comes pre-loaded with a wide range of applications. It has Google Maps for your navigation needs, Google Search, Gmail, Youtube, Google Calendar, Google Talk, Quick office document viewer and much more. The phone also supports GPS which helps in turn-by-turn navigation. For keeping your entertained, the phone offers a music and video player which play almost all media file formats. You also have stereo FM radio with RDS support. The phone has the option of Beats Audio sound enhancement which works only when you use headsets. Though it shouldn't be much of a problem since the HTC One X+ comes with a standard 3.5 mm audio jack where you can connect your favorite headphones or the ones that come in the box. Internet access is possible via the Android browser which supports HTML5 as well as Flash. You can access all websites just like you do on your computer. The large and gorgeous display of the phone further enhances the browsing experience. Users also have access to Google Play store from where you can download your favorite apps. There are apps available at the store exclusively made for Tegra powered devices. HTC One X+ has an internal memory of 32GB or 64 GB (The phone is available in 2 variants). However, there is no microSD slot. Though the internal memory is large enough to take care of all your needs, you will have transfer all the required files from your previous phone's microSD card to your new phone which is quite painstaking. This was a shortcoming of its predecessor as well and it is surprising HTC have not improved on this front. You will still get 25 GB cloud storage in your DropBox account.

HTC's latest flagship phone is surely going to raise the bar for other premium smartphones in the market. HTC has done an excellent job at bringing out a package that looks as well as peforms great. If you are looking to buy a high-end smartphone, HTC One X+ should be on the top of the list.
