Should I Buy a HX6911 or HX6932?

For those who are unsure whether to buy the HX6911 or the HX6932 model, this brief & objective comparison guide that contrasts the two electric Philips sonicare toothbrushes with regards to their differences (and similarities) amongst specifications and features - should be able to help you out. Ultimately determining which one best suits your dental cleaning preferences and needs -- and from that also which offers the most value (with respect to its price tag).

Fitted Technology

HX6911/02 (aka. FlexCare R910): Sonicare Technology

HX6932/10 (aka. FlexCare RS930): Sonicare Technology

Both are in the sonicare range and hence use Philips' patented and unique sonic technology -- which allows the brush to operate at up to 31,ooo 'movements' every 60 seconds (making it one of the most powerful on the market -- yet still comfortable to use), allowing for a super thorough clean that promotes a healthier, cleaner (in turn whiter) teeth & mouth. In comparison to one another in this aspect -- there is no difference however.

Each toothbrush also comes with 3 separate cleaning modes (making for a more personalised clean) and are as follows: clean mode - which is basically a full on mouth cleaning treatment, massage mode - to help stimulate and pump your gums (promoting healthy gums) and sensitive mode - specially catering for those with sensitive teeth and gums. They also offer MaxCare (extended the total clean time to 3 mins) and GoCare (which is a quick 1 min clean, like you would do after lunch).

Practical Features

HX6911: 2 weeks run time | Easy-Start, Smartimer & Quad-pacer | Lit Display

HX6932: 3 weeks run time | Easy-Start, Smartimer & Quad-pacer | Lit Display | Sanitizer

The HX6932 from a single (24 hour) charge lasts a fair bit longer - so should appeal more to those who travel a fair bit. But, both models encourage better dental habits through the smartimer, that makes you clean for the recommended 2 minutes (as well as the quadpacer beeping every 30 seconds to let you know to change quadrant from upper-left to lower-left, then to upper-right and finally to lower-right etc.). The toothbrush also gradually introduces you to the way sonicare technology works through gradually increasing in power of 12 to 14 uses.

Moreover, the HX6932 also comes with a sanitizer storage unit that works for 10 mins after you have finished with the tooth brush and kills 99 percent of bacteria and viruses -- making for the best possible cleaning experience (giving you that 'just come out of the dentist' feel every time.

Brush Heads

HX6911: Standard ProResults Brush Head | 3 Rings |

HX6932: Compact ProResults Brush Head | Standard ProResults Brush Head | 3 Rings |

The brushes have been specially designed & contoured to help improve comfort as well as remove even greater amounts of potentially harmful plaque (which has been clinically proven compared to manual brushes).

Should You Buy a HX6911 or HX6932?

With a difference in price of around just $50, I would go for the HX6932 on the basis that it comes with the sanitizer kit which just gives you that added edge in cleanliness -- but this is pretty much the only real factor that distinguishes them (note: there is a few added accessories that comes with the HX6932 too).
