People all over the world are desperate to find a hair loss cure. Hair loss is something that affects millions of people all over the world, and it can be a very embarrassing problem for many. Of all the possible surgeries available, hair restoration surgery is actually the number one elective surgery for men. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that there are so many hair loss products and hair loss treatments out there promising that they are the final and last cure for hair loss. Women too, may be just as desperate as men to cure their hair loss; female patterned baldness can be far more devastating for women than male patterned baldness can be for men.

Either way, many people are not willing to sit back contendedly and ignore their hair loss problems. Some individuals spend thousands of dollars to find a hair loss cure, only to end up feeling defeated and lacking of hope when these hair loss treatments do not pan out. There can typically be many for reasons for this. Sometimes the hair loss treatment or product just doesn't work: it's not effective. But other times, it may simply be that the product they're using works perfectly fine for other people, but not for them, because it's not addressing the root of their hair loss.

If you're tired of losing hair or spending lots of money on hair loss products, read on to learn more about a possible hair loss cure.

The problem with trying to find a cure for hair loss is that there can be many reasons as to why a person might be losing their hair: genetics, thyroid deficiency, vitamin deficiency, stress, medication, et cetera, can all be factors. Therefore, if you are experiencing hair loss, it's a good idea that you speak to your primary physician to rule out illness, lifestyle, diet, et cetera, as the cause of hair loss. Typically, hair loss as a result of thyroid deficiency, vitamin deficiency, stress or medication can typically all be relatively fixed.

For the sake of this article, however, we'll be discussing one of the leading causes of hair loss, which is DHT, as well as a hair loss cure for people suffering from hair loss as a result of this chemical. DHT, otherwise known as, dihychrotestosterone, is a chemical that prevents the hair follicle from growing new hairs. For a long time, no hair loss treatment addressed this problem. But there are prescription medications, like Propecia, that work as a DHT inhibitor, thus preventing the DHT from damaging the follicle and allowing the growth of hair. While Propecia will not work for everyone, it is probably the best way to treat hair loss as a result of DHT.

There are many different causes for hair loss, and so many different products that exist to help stop hair loss from continuing. However, the most common cause of male patterned baldness or female patterned baldness is DHT. It's a good idea to go see your doctor to rule out any kind of medical issue causing your baldness, but otherwise you may want to ask your doctor about a prescription drug that acts as a DHT inhibitor. For people whose hair loss is the result of DHT preventing hair growth, this is probably the best hair loss cure.
