Balding or thinning hair is one of the main causes of the
appearance of early aging in men. The
hair is a very important indicator of the age and health of a person. A man who is prematurely grey or who has hair
loss can easily be assumed to be ten, fifteen, or even twenty years older than
his actual age. Graying hair is easy to
deal with by using one of the fine hair coloration products available for
men. Dealing with thinning hair or bald
spots, though, can be a completely different problem.
The hair restoration price will range all over the
board depending on several factors. The
first question is what method are you going to use. You can try a home remedy for just the cost
of a few grocery items but the chances of having any success and getting your
hair to grow are very close to zero. You
can try some natural herbs and extracts that may give you some relief but
haven’t been fully tested by the FDA.
You can use a medication prescribed by your doctor which is going to be
more expensive and may come with some potentially harmful side effects. You can buy a hair system, or toupee as they
used to be known, which covers up your bald spot but needs to be replaced every
so often. Or you can have a hair
transplantation procedure that actual inserts living hair shafts into the bald
spot.
Each of these methods has its good points and bad
points. What you will need to do is
weigh those pluses and minuses to find out what will be the best method for
your situation. For my money, a hair
implant procedure makes the most sense.
The cost of the procedure is higher when it is done but you have very
little follow up costs. There are also
very few potential harmful side effects with this method of hair
restoration. Not only that, but the results
are very good. The hair which is
transplanted is your own hair so it will of course match perfectly. The color and texture will both blend in
naturally with the hair that is surrounding the bald spot. Also, the implants actual grow and thus you
can have your hair styled however you want.
Overall hair implants seem to offer the best value. You can choose a natural hair restoration
product or procedure but the amount of hair grown by these methods will not
match the fullness and thickness that can be obtained with a good hair
transplantation procedure.
By all means check out the possibilities by looking at
all these different methods. Keep track
of the pluses and minuses and then make the decision on which hair restoration procedure
or product is the best fit for you. If
you want to get your youthful look back your hair is the first thing that needs
to be changed.
