Hair Restoration Shampoo
Does hair restoration shampoo really work, as it says it does? Well, that depends. Shampoos are available, ranging in price from complete kits that cost anywhere up to $150 or as little as $10 or less per bottle. Options for shampoos include herbal rinse shampoo, Chinese herb shampoo, shampoos that are supposed to stimulate blood circulation to your head thus increasing hair growth, and shampoos containing chemicals such as ketoconazole.
While you can't always say that more expensive is best, when it comes to a hair restoration shampoo, you may want to avoid the cheaper shampoos advertised. While some may work, they are not really guaranteed to do so and if you're seriously concerned about hair loss you should probably go for something that is more likely to prevent further hair loss and help stimulate new hair growth.
Sometimes the cheaper shampoos simply contain volumizing agents which make your hair look thicker and fuller, and give the impression that they restore your head of hair. If you merely have a problem with slightly thinning hair, such as many women have when they get older, then perhaps these shampoos might be all that you need. They are usually on the lower end of the spectrum when it comes to cost and they are easy to find online or in your local pharmacy or department store.
One way that these shampoos actually work is by blocking the hormones that make the hair follicles stop producing new hairs. One such shampoo is Revita, another well known shampoo is Nizoral. The active ingredient in the shampoo, ketoconazole, is believed to stimulate hair growth. To use this, or any other hair restoration shampoo, you simply massage it into your skull, leave it on for a couple of minutes, rinse off and repeat only leaving it on for three to five minutes the second time. The shampoo should be used at least five times a week. That's a fairly simple and easy routine to work into your daily schedule and worth the effort to prevent hair loss.
Shampoos can be a very important part of your hair restoration and replacement program. Many of these products can really make a difference to your hair loss problems.
