Halo 3 ODST is the next installment of the popular Halo series. Halo 3 ODST allows users to play as an orbital drop ship trooper to fight off enemies and save the world. Bungie has released many new features with the release of Halo 3 ODST. The most popular of these new features is firefight mode. Firefight mode in Halo 3 ODST is where you try to hold your ground as you fight off waves of covenant enemies. As you play through firefight on Halo 3 ODST, different skulls will turn on, making the game more difficult. Drop ships will release enemies every so often as you play through firefight and the enemies will become more difficult with each wave. You can also turn on secondary skulls while playing firefight on Halo 3 ODST to make it more fun. Firefight mode has been placed on the campaign disk for Halo 3 ODST but can also be played on Xbox Live. You can play with up to 4 people and you can choose which difficulty and map you would like to play on. You can also choose which character you would like to play as while playing firefight on Halo 3 ODST. As you play through the campaign and unlock achievements in Halo 3 ODST, you will unlock more maps and playable characters for firefight.

Another great feature that has been implimented into Halo 3 ODST is that you gain medals in both firefight and campaign if meta scoring is turned on. This adds a great deal of excitement to both firefight and campaign in Halo 3 ODST because players will be able to see which medals they earn as they are killing enemies. Most of the medals are the same from Halo 3 but new ones have been added as well. You can see a list of all of the Halo 3 ODST medals online. The medals for firefight and campaign are scored differently from Halo 3 multiplayer because of obvious reasons like the fact that there are large groups of enemies in one area that you can easily kill with a grenade or rocket launcher. You can also check out all of the medals you have earned and your overall statistics for firefight after the game is over. Firefight is definately one of the most exciting new features to come to the Halo series so far.
