This is Season 4, Episode 10 of Hannah Montana Forever, the final season of the Hannah Montana series.
In this Hannah Montana Forever episode, Can You See the Real Me?, Miley Stewart (Miley Cyrus) sits down with Robin Roberts and discusses some of the most memorable aspects of her double life as Hannah Montana.
In the previous episode, Miley had appeared on Jay Leno's show where she revealed the true identity of Hannah Montana.
Miley confides to Robin Roberts that her favorite aspect of being Hannah Montana was the wig. When she first started performing, she had felt more comfortable with the wig, but she soon realized that the audience liked her for more than just the wig.
Miley's least favorite aspect of being Hannah was the downer after she took off the wig. She explained that while Hannah was always glamorous, Miley was a real person who sometimes had bad skin.
Robin asked her why she had created the Hannah Montana alterego. Miley explained that she had seen what her famous dad had gone through. She wanted to avoid some of the pitfalls of fame and enjoy a normal life. She wanted friends who would love her for who she really was
We see a montage of Lily (Emily Osment) and Oliver (Mitchel Musso) and voiceover of "True Friend").
Miley relates that because she had a double life, she was able to see people's true colors. She saw the difference in the way Amber, Ashley, the school principal, and Rico treated Hannah Montana vs. how they treated Miley.
We also see flashbacks of Miley's relationship with her brother, Jackson (Jason Earles). As she explains, although Jackson is a "snotwagon," he always has her back in the end.
Miley also related incidences with embarrassing relatives and misadventures in dating. "Dating is hard enough when you're one person, but when you're two it's practically impossible."
Robin Roberts brings the topic to Miley's dad, Robby Ray (Billy Ray Cyrus). Despite the normal ups and downs of father/daughter teenage relationships, her dad is still her best friend.
Miley tells Robin that she loves music and that she would continue it either as Hannah or as Miley. She is grateful for Hannah Montana for giving her the chance to live out her dream and to have a normal life at the same time.
Although revealing the secret was a risk, she felt in her heart that she had made the right decision. She hopes her fans will continue to love her no matter who she is.
