Harley Davidson has made the leading motorcycles for the last 50 years and they always seem to provicde top quality motorcycles year after year. There are several models including the Nightster, the Iron 883m Cross Bones, Fat Bob and Street Bob along with Sportster 48. These are among top models of any motorcycle brand and they all have their benefits and drawbacks.

The Sportster features chopped fenders, a slammed rear suspension and a low profile handlebar. It also contains lightening holes on the tank mount and the bike weighs 567 pounds. The Harley Davidson Sportster is priced at a little over $10,000. It is air cooled, contains a pushrod actuated overhead valve and a 1200cc v twin evolution engine that produces 79 ft lbs of torque at 4000 rpm.

Like any other vehicle it has its pros and cons, Its pros are numersous and include many advantages. These include cruisers that have a very nice and appealing appearance. They also have a very nice sound to them. The Torquey 1200cc powerplant provides a good amount of grunt when riding it. It's low seat height accomodates just about any size of rider.

The cons of the bike are the following. It has a slam suspension, a long handlebar reach and a stiff seat which is a hassle and provides discomfort on long rides. The 2.1 gallon fuel tank limits cruising range by 100 miles and an accessory purchase is required for a passenger seat.

Like any other vehicle there are beneifts and drawbacks but the Harley Davidson Sportster 48 provides very good features and benefits and is one of the better motorcycles to ride if you're a casual rider. However if you're looking to ride the bike regularly for long trips then you might be better off getting another model that offers better accomodations. However this bike is very nice and is a great choice for those looking to enjoy themselves by riding a motorcycle in the community.
