Have a Ladies Poker Night
Poker games have been around for a long time and used to evoke images of a small group of men sitting around a small table stuck in the back of a garage or basement with the inevitable tapestry of dogs playing poker on the wall above them. Poker has become even more popular recently and it is now not uncommon for a large group to get together for a full night of tournaments and cash games once a week or more. One of the biggest changes has been the inclusion of women into what was once thought of as a mostly male activity. The game has become so popular that ladies poker nights are beginning to pop up everywhere.
How would you plan a ladies poker night for you and your friends? It isn't that difficult and you may find you like it so much that you begin to have regular games.
Make a list of the women you think would enjoy a ladies poker night. Make sure to invite at least three other women for a fun and competitive game. Decide on a night to hold the game. Everyone may want to hire a babysitter and have ladies poker night the same night as the men or you may want to hold it on a different night so the men can watch the children.

Some men's games have involved into full blown parties, with food and drinks that you can also have at your ladies poker night. If the poker games will rotate from house to house, the hostess could supply the refreshments or you could potluck it and have everyone bring an appetizer and their own drinks. Make sure that if alcohol is served that everyone has a safe ride home.
Decide before the ladies poker night what the buy-in for the games will be and set them according to how much you think the other players can afford and based upon the amount in your state that constitutes a gentlemen's bet.
Ladies poker night can be just as fun as a men's game so set one up with your friends and see just how good your poker face is!
