There are many things you can do to improve your health and longevity and live a longer life. While many factors play a role in your health and how healthy your life is, there are a few steps you can take to improve your health. Read on to learn how to increase your health and longevity.

Make sure you are getting 3 meals a day. However, if you can, consider eating 5 smaller meals a day. This is much healthier and will reduce your chances of heart disease. Five smaller meals will help you burn more fat, and lose weight and it is less strenous on your digestive system than 3 larger meals a day.

Exercise is the key to living a healthy and energetic life. You want to perform some sort of cardiovascular activity and weight training 4-6 times a week. Exercising will improve your quality of life in so many ways. If you don't believe me, then you can research the health benefits of exercising. Exercise can cut down your risks of getting various diseases like cancer, heart disease, or having a stroke, or heart attack.

Laughter will help you relieve yourself of stress and release hormones in your body that will give you a sense of well being and happiness. This is healthy and can add years to your life. So be sure to get some type of laughter everyday, even if it's just reading a joke on the internet. Rejoice with your family and have fun with your life.

Step 4: Be sure to drink eight to 10 glasses of fresh water everyday. If you can remember this simple step then your health will improve dramatically. Your body will function more efficient and it will excrete more toxins and impurities from your body at a faster rate. Not to mention there are many other health benefits to drinking 8-10 glasses of water everyday. Water is essential to carry out many necessary tasks in your body so you need to make sure your body is flush with water. The more active you are, the more water your body will require.

Meditation and/or prayer are great techniques that you incorporate into your life to help you relieve stress. You also want to exercise your mind through things like reading, doing word puzzles, or playing games that require you to think like chess. Your mental health is just as important and it can help you drastically improve your health.
