Great Healthy Chicken Recipes

Do you find that when you prepare healthy chicken recipes that they are not very tasty? Do you find that your family moans and groans when you make that dish that is "good for you"? I am going to provide you with two healthy chicken recipes that are not only good for you but tasty too. The recipes that we will be looking at are Grilled Chicken Breast on a Greek Salad and Lemon Chicken Breast.

Before we look at the recipes, let us define healthy. It is defined as "possessing or enjoying good health or a sound vigorous mentality"[2] or as "the condition of being sound in body, mind or spirit and freedom from physical disease or pain"[1]. To me personally, it means feeling and looking great. An important factor in determining health is your diet. If you have a great diet you will be healthier for it. I find the best way to ensure that you have a great diet is to have recipes that you enjoy. As we continue, we will discuss a couple of recipes that you will be sure to enjoy.

Grilled Chicken Breast on a Greek Salad

Here is our first fun recipe. This is designed to serve four people. To prepare, begin by grilling 24 oz of chicken. Next, make a salad by mixing 12 cups of lettuce, 2 cups of tomatoes, 2 cups of  sliced onions, 12 pitted black olives, 2 cups of sliced mango, 8 teaspoons of oil and vinegar dressing, 2 oz of feta cheese and 4 cups of cucumbers in a large bowl.  When the chicken is cooked through, top the salad with the chicken and dressing. Most importantly, enjoy.

Lemon Chicken Breast

Our next wonderfully healthy recipe is also designed to serve four people. Begin by putting 4 teaspoons minced garlic, 1 teaspoon thyme and 8 tablespoons of lemon juice on 20 oz of chicken breast cutlets. Grill the meat until it is cooked through. Serve with a side salad. The salad should consist of 4 teaspoons of olive oil, 4 teaspoons of balsamic vinegar, 2 cups of cucumber, 8 tomato slices, 4 tablespoons of chopped almonds and 8 cups of lettuce. Serve 3 cups of diced honey dew melon as dessert. Most importantly, enjoy.
