Healthy Lemon Poppy Seed Oatmeal

If you are sick of eating your oatmeal plane or with just a bit of cinnamon and Splenda to make sure you don't get a bunch of added sugar from the pre-flavored oatmeal, this recipe is for you. It has virtually no sugar, and reminds me of a lemon poppy seed muffin!

What you will need:
  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup of oats
  • 1 Tbsp Jell-o instant sugar free lemon pudding
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Lemon peel ( I used dried )
  • 2 tsp Poppy seeds
  • 1 Tbsp Flax meal (optional)
  • Artificial Sweeter to taste (I prefer Splenda)

Preparation:

Boil hot water and add 1.5:1 ratio of water to oatmeal to your oats to cook them. You can also microwave them using the same technique, put your oatmeal in a bowl, then add 1.5x the water before you microwave for one minute.

After oats are done cooking, add the following ingredients:

1 Tbsp Jell-o instant sugar free lemon pudding
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Lemon peel ( I used dried )
2 tsp Poppy Seeds
1 Tbsp Flax meal (optional)
Artificial Sweeter to taste (I prefer Splenda)

Mix together and enjoy!
